I'm Jeff Willis, the founder and business curator of Willis Properties, the parent company of FlipSide Properties.
Throughout my many years of experience I have designed and transformed millions of dollars of properties. Turning what have otherwise been stomach turning houses, into beautiful family homes. Every house that my team and I have touched has been treated as if they were going to be my own.
I am often asked where and or how, I decide to do what I do to houses. The answer, may sound odd, however it's very true… I simply listen to it. When I pull up to it, as I enter the front door and as I tour throughout it, I respect it's history. It's stature. It's layout. If we (the house and I) are speaking the same language then I will proceed and take on the exhilarating challenge of transforming it and exposing its hidden splendor!
Unfortunately, I have also witnessed many other contractors that simply try to baffle people and get them to engage in their services only to be quickly realize these contractors are nothing more than a weekend warrior and with some tools and some knowledge.
My team consists first and foremost of an excellent structural Engineer, fantastic welder and master craftsmen.
With 3 decades of investment experience, 2 decades in the financial services, specializing in tax, estate planning and infinite banking, we utilize and coach others in creative ways to accomplish their financial and lifestyle goals.
I have not been one to swing golf clubs or lace up the hockey skates. Rather, I have been swinging hammers since I was only enough to build tree-houses and forts. I bought my first house in my early 20s and have owned small multi units, office buildings and single family homes ever since.
As many enticing story lines, my story is lined with some valleys along with the peaks we all want. In 2008 I fell victim to a North American wide multi-million dollar ponzi scheme and over night lost everything I had worked hard to build, thus finding myself in bankruptcy! While money was lost, my ability to fight my way back only strengthened. I made it my personal goal to put into practice that which I had spent 18 years (at the time) teaching others to do. So I did. I set out on my, then, new journey and committed to buying a house while in bankruptcy. Well, not only did I accomplish that goal, I bought two before I was even discharged from bankruptcy.
I should point out that the day before my unfortunate bankruptcy my credit score was hovering and 800 points. However, over night my income was gone along with all assets!
Today — 10 years from date of my discharge, I have bought, transformed and sold millions of dollars of houses and cottages, own multiple AirBnB assets and a hard money lender.
I don't say any of this to boast. I simply say this to encourage others wanting to reach their goals. I'm a firm believer in doing business with people that have bumps and bruises any day over those without. I believe that true success is better valued with the scars created along the way. Furthermore the teaching, mentoring and coaching along the way is better when it comes from a place of hard knocks.

No more 9 to 5 lifestyle. Don't get me wrong, at times I work more than 9 to 5, however it's for me and not for another person’s benefit.

One of my leading passions is being able to make an impact in others' lives.
In that regard I travel to places impacted by natural devastation and no government help or assistance and help rebuild their homes/communities. These opportunities fall under what I call, ShiftedFocus. Shift the Focus off of us and our own needs and focus on the needs of others. I truly believe it all starts with giving victims back their ability to laugh, to smile again and then get them back into their homes.
There is no greater feeling, no amount of profit that compares to serving others and relighting the flame in their eyes.
